Confirmation of Acceptance (CAS)
· The Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) is not an actual certificate or paper document but is a virtual document similar to a database record.
· Every University has to apply on the portal maintained by UKVI called as Sponsor
Management System (SMS) to generate the CAS Number for the student from UKVI.
· Each Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies has a unique reference number and contains
Information about the course of study for which it has been issued and the student’s
details.
· In many UK Universities, the CAS will be sent directly to the student on their email ID, so
it is necessary to mention the correct email IDs on the application form while applying to
the University / College.
· The validity of CAS is 6 months, and it can be used only once. If the Visa of the student
gets refused, we need to get a new CAS for him to reapply for the Visa.
Maintenance (Funds)
The student is required to show 1 year of Tuition Fees mentioned in the CAS and
9 months of Living Cost.

the University accommodation provider, then he can show
£12006 -- £1334= £10672.
